Dr. Alfred Hutt
Dr. Alfred Hutt is an Ophthalmologist and the Founder of Hutt Eye Associates. Dr. Hutt was an honored graduate of Ohio State University Optometry School and later earned his Medical Degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. He completed his Internship in Mixed Medicine at Queens Hospital in Honolulu, HI. Dr. Hutt received Specialty Training in Ophthalmology at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center and completed a Post Graduate Fellowship as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg, South Africa. He's a member of the Optometric Honorary Society (Beta Sigma Kappa).
Dr. Hutt has specialized experience in advanced procedures including Orthokeratology, Sutureless Cataract Surgery, State-of-the-Art Intraocular Lens, Toric Intraocular Lens, Laser, and Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery, and “Nut & Bolt” Cardona Corneal Implants. He has conducted research with Intraocular lenses. In addition to his ophthalmology practice, Dr. Hutt serves as the Attending Surgeon Chief of Ophthalmology at Holyoke Hospital and as a Clinical Instructor at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, MA.
Because of his superior accomplishments, Dr. Hutt received the prestigious professional distinctions of Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Hutt is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Physicians Fellowship, Massachusetts Medical Society, New England Ophthalmological Society, Hampden District Medical Society, and Greater Springfield Ophthalmological Society.
